The ISC Exhibition returns this year to the show floor in Hamburg as the largest in-person high performance computing exhibition after the pandemic. An increase of 15 percent in exhibitors compared to last year makes it a success.
We are pleased to announce Professor Torsten Hoefler of ETH Zurich, Switzerland, as the inaugural Jack Dongarra Early Career Award recipient. This award acknowledges his significant contributions to converging high performance computing (HPC) and artificial intelligence (AI). His research focuses on performance-centric system design, which includes scalable networks, parallel programming techniques, and performance modeling for large-scale simulations and AI systems.
ISC 2023 attendees can look forward to captivating talks for the event's Tuesday and Wednesday conference keynotes. The Tuesday, May 23 keynote will be delivered by Google Principal Engineer Dr. Valentina Salapura, who will sketch out the emerging dynamic between the hyperscaler and HPC ecosystems. On Wednesday, May 24, Professor Dr. Thomas Sterling of Indiana University, and Professor Dr. Estela Suarez, of the Juelich Supercomputing Centre will recap the past year in HPC and offer predictions about its future.
