We are pleased to announce that Katherine (Kathy) Yelick, who holds the position of Vice Chancellor for Research and is the Robert S. Pepper Distinguished Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley, will be delivering the ISC 2024 opening keynote talk on Monday, May 13.

During ISC 2023, we accepted the challenge posed by Dan Reed and committed to reconvening at ISC 2024 to create a clear roadmap for reinventing HPC. This past year, we witnessed numerous innovations, including generative AI, groundbreaking chip designs, the emergence of electric vehicles, striking images from the James Webb Space Telescope, multi-cloud advancements, and progress in quantum computing.
We are thrilled to announce that Rosa M. Badia from the Barcelona Supercomputing Center and John Shalf from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory will jointly deliver the ISC 2024 Wednesday Keynote. A valuable addition to the keynote talk is the interactive moderation by Professor Daniel A. Reed, a long-standing member of the HPC community.
