|Abstract:||The scope of this workshop centres on the emergent convergence of the HPC and Big Data worlds. As applications from both areas of analytics and sciences need to handle petabyte sized datasets, there is a growing interest in harvesting the high performance of HPC systems for data intensive computing. Approaches from both industry and research have focused on the successful merging of HPC architectures and environments with Big Data programming models and tools, to bring together expertise from both the HPC and Big Data community. The workshop will also cover Cray’s platforms and engines for data analysis at large scales. The workshop provides a forum for industry experts and researchers to share their experiences and discuss challenges of running analytics and scientific applications on HPC systems, and includes hands-on exercises with remotely accessed Cray analytics platforms. We invite developers, researchers and practitioners from academia, government and industry to join the Cray workshop on new and emerging trends in data-centric computing platforms, programming models and software tools.
Data engineers, data analysts, data architects, Big data analysts, Data Analysts, Hadoop experts, Graph discovery analysts, Big Data applications analyst, statisticians, software engineers, IT operations, IT technical managers.
