Dr. Martin Kaiser

Team Coordinator CAE – FGIE, Group IT, MAN Diesel & Turbo SE

Dr. Martin Kaiser was born in Tübingen, Germany. After getting his matura from Uhland Gymnasium, he studied Physics at the University in Tübingen and received his PhD in Astrophysics in 1995. Because of the limitations in experimental possibilities in astrophysics, there is a strong focus on theoretical models and simulations. Therefore he became naturally acquainted with Simulation Tools, High Performance Computing and IT. Already in 1992 he joined MAN in the central IT department and introduced the first “Beowulf Parallel Clusters” together with decentral workstation computing for the calculation engineers. As a senior project manager at MAN Diesel & Turbo, he is currently working on the 5th generation of HPC Clusters established at all major sites of MAN Diesel & Turbo.
