Mario TokarzSenior Manager AI & ML, BMW Group
Mario Tokarz is the Senior Manager of Strategy and Partnerships in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at BMW Group. After finishing his studies in Computer Sciences at University of Applied Sciences in Munich, he started his career as a software developer for BMW Car IT GmbH in 2008. Taking over responsibility especially with respect to the in-product usage of Open Source Software, he was part of the team piloting BMW’s first on-board infotainment systems based on Linux. In this context he drove the development and roll out of BMW’s Open Source Software Policies. In 2013 he joined the newly founded Ulm site of BMW Car IT GmbH leading a development team in the field of application and platform development for consumer electronics. His responsibilities included site operations to support the recruiting and growth from 60 to currently about 220 employees. Returning to Munich in 2016 he has now a leading role in expanding BMW’s activities in the field of AI. |
