Tetsuya Hoshino

Tetsuya Hoshino is assistant professor at the Supercomputing Research Division Information Technology Center of The University of Tokyo. And he is also a doctoral student of Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan, studying at Prof. Satoshi Matsuoka laboratory. He received his M.S. with an emphasis in programming language extension for many-core accelerators in 2014 from Tokyo Institute of Technology. He was a Research Fellowship for Young Scientists (DC1) of Japan Society for the Promotion of Science from April 2014 to December 2015. His current research interest is programming language for heterogeneous supercomputers that have many-core accelerators such as GPUs. He is particularly interested in the portability and performance of directive-based approach, such as OpenACC and compiler-based auto-tuning. He is now making a framework, which automatically tune scientific legacy CPU-based applications for accelerators by extending OpenACC.
