Dr. Brian Goldiez

Deputy Director & Research Associate Professor, Institute for Simulation and Training at University of Central Florida
 

Brian Goldiez is the Deputy Director and a Research Associate Professor at the University of Central Florida’s (UCF) Institute for Simulation and Training (IST). Goldiez has over 40 years of human centered modeling and simulation experience spanning government, industry, and academe. He is the Principal Investigator on a research project investigating cloud based delivery of computer based training. This work is funded, in part, by the US Army. Dr. Goldiez also manages high performance computing for UCF and is the university’s representative of state of Florida consortium centered on research and education using research-computing assets. On a broader level, Dr. Goldiez has lead efforts aimed at optimizing computing and peripheral performance to enhance human activity. Dr. Goldiez has degrees in Aerospace and Computer Engineering. He was also UCF’s first recipient of a doctoral degree in Modeling and Simulation.
