Dr. Theirry Tonelot

Thierry Tonellot received a M.Sc. (1994) in Applied Mathematics from University Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris VI), France and a Ph.D. (2000) in Applied Mathematics from University Rene Descartes (Paris V), France. He was a Research Geophysicist with IFP, Rueil-Malmaison, France, for about ten years, where he worked on seismic inversion and reservoir characterization. In 2006, he joined the EXPEC Advanced Research Center of Saudi Aramco in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, as Research Geophysicist. He is currently focusing on the HPC aspects of seismic depth imaging and applications of full waveform inversion to land seismic data. His professional interests include seismic inversion, signal processing, and high performance computing.
