Group Leader for the Future Technology Group at the Hartree Centre, Science and Technology Facilities Council. Investigating and supporting the development of new architectures and approaches to high performance computing that will support the progression to exascale. Areas of focus for the group include: Application Optimisation, Hybrid Architectures, Energy Aware Software Tools, Resource Management, Standards and Metrics. Neil is an IT professional with an MSc in Information Systems (Dist.) and a track record of supporting the successful design and implementation of large scale complex programmes. Specialist skills & interests: High Performance Computing, Information architecture, geographical information systems and spatial data.
