Dr. Frank Baetke

Frank Baetke is chairman of the European Open File System Organizations (EOFS). At Hewlett Packard Enterprise he leads the worldwide business development for Academia and Scientific Research. He is a member of the Advisory Board and a Fellow of the International Supercomputing Conference (ISC) and a member of the Steering Committee of the Indian Supercomputing Conference (HiPC) and a Board member of HP-CAST. He joined Convex Computer Corp. in 1986 heading the Central European software support organization. Later he managed the European marketing organization until the acquisition by HP in 1995. Frank Baetke holds a master degree (Dipl.-Ing.) in engineering and a Ph.D. (Dr.-Ing.) in applied physics from the Technical University of Munich. He has published numerous articles in the field of high-performance computing as well as contributions in related areas. He is a member of GI (German Society of Informatics), the Society of Astronomy, ACM, IEEE and the Max Planck Society.
