Dr. Eike Hermann Müller

Lecturer, University of Bath

Eike Mueller is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Scientific Computing in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Bath (UK). His research interests include fast parallel solvers (in particular multigrid methods) for partial differential equations, matrix-free elliptic solvers for higher order DG discretisations and Multilevel Monte Carlo methods in atmospheric dispersion modelling. In addition to writing standalone scientific software, he collaborates directly with the UK Met Office to implement and improve linear solvers in numerical weather- and climate- forecast models. Eike holds a PhD in computational particle physics (lattice QCD) from the University of Edinburgh and completed an undergraduate degree in physics in Germany.
