Computer scientist at the Chair for System Simulation at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg
 

Harald Köstler is a computer scientist working at the Chair for System Simulation at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in Germany.
His Ph.D. was on variational models and parallel multigrid methods in medical image processing and later he focused on efficient numerical algorithms and software engineering for High Performance Computing.
Currently, his research interests include domain specific languages for applications in Computational Science and Engineering, software engineering concepts for simulation software on HPC clusters, and programming techniques for parallel hardware, especially GPUs.
