Dr. Richard Gerber

Richard Gerber is Senior Science Advisor and User Services Group Lead at the National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in Berkeley, CA. His research interests include monitoring and understanding application performance on HPC systems, and studying how scientists' needs map onto the design of such systems. In his spare time he tries to keep up with developments in the study of the dynamics and interactions of galaxies. Richard has a PhD in physics, specializing in computational astrophysics, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
