Allen D. Malony is a Professor in the Department of Computer and Information Science at the University of Oregon. He specializes in high-performance computing and parallel performance analysis and tools. He has extensive experience in performance characterization of high-performance computing systems and applications. Malony's research team has developed performance evaluation tools for a range of parallel machines during the last 25 years and produces the open source TAU Performance System known throughout the world. His broader research interests include computational science, data science, and neuroinformatics. Malony is also the CEO of ParaTools, Inc., which he founded with Dr. Sameer Shende in 2004. ParaTools SAS is a French company they started in 2014. ParaTools specializes in performance analysis and engineering, HPC applications and optimization, and parallel software, hardware, and tools.
