Takumi Maruyama

Senior director of AI Platform Division, Advanced System Research & Development Unit at Fujitsu
 

Takumi Maruyama is a senior director of AI Platform Division, Advanced System Research & Development Unit at Fujitsu. He started working on the first SPARC64 processor design in 1993, and has been involved in the development of SPARC64 GP, V, VI, VII, VIIIfx, IXfx, X, X+ and XII processors. SPARC64 VIIIfx is a processor of K supercomputer which got the first prize at TOP500 in 2011. He is currently working on Fujitsu’s AI processor called DLU. He holds a BE in Mathematical Engineering and Instrumentation Physics from the University of Tokyo.
