Dr. Kerstin Tackmann

Dr. Kerstin Tackmann is a physicist at the Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron(DESY) in Hamburg. Following her studies of physics at the Technische Universitaet Dresden, she received her doctoral degree in physics in 2008 at the University of California in Berkeley, USA. For her doctoral studies in elementary particle physics she worked at the BABAR experiment at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center in Menlo Park, California. From 2008 to 2011, she worked as Research Fellow at the European Organization for Nuclear Research(CERN) in Geneva, Switzerland. Since 2008, her work has focused on Higgs boson physics at the ATLAS experiment situated at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN. In 2011, she joined DESY as a leader of a Helmholtz Young Investigator Group and is holding an ERC Starting Grant since 2016.
