Yevhen Alforov

Yevhen Alforov received his Master degree in Computer Science at Kherson State University (Ukraine) in 2011. After graduation he worked there as a Teacher (part-time) and a Head of department for providing academic, information and communication infrastructure (full-time). In December 2015 Yevhen Alforov started to work in German Climate Computing Center in Hamburg (Germany) as an Early Stage Researcher. He participates there in European Training Network (ETN) called “BigStorage: Storage-based Convergence between HPC and Cloud to handle BigData”. Since May 2016 he started his Ph.D. programme at University of Hamburg where he is a member of Scientific Computing group. Currently Yevhen conducts his research in the area of high performance I/O with a special focus on high-level I/O interfaces and energy-efficient data reduction techniques.
