Dr.-Ing. Bastian Koller

Dr.-Ing. Bastian Koller joined the High Performance Computing Center Stuttgart in 2004 after his diploma degree in computer science from the University of Wuerzburg. In 2011 he received his PhD in Engineering at the University of Stuttgart. From 2007 to 2013 he led the “Service Management and Business Processes” Department, being active in research around Grid, Web Services and Cloud Computing. Dr Koller was Technical Manager of one of the first Cloud related IST FP6 projects, named BREIN. In March 2014 he became Manager of the Centre. He is currently also supervising the operation of the FORTISSIMO´s marketplace to support Small and Medium Enterprise in their first steps towards uptake of HPC in their manufacturing or engineering processes.
