Abstract:
The High Performance Computing Centre in Stuttgart has a long history in providing HPC-based services to the engineering community. Within this talk we will present a variety of activities, which either directly support the engineering community, e.g. the FORTISSIMO project or lay the base for better handling and execution of dynamic engineering workloads as e.g. with the innovative Cloud technologies of the MIKELANGELO activity. Additionally we will present how we envisage the setup of an European Centre of Excellence for Engineering Applications by exploiting synergies of different European HPC Centers and the respective experts behind.
