Biography
Thomas Rauber received his Masters degree and PhD in computer science from the University Saarbrücken in 1986 and 1990, respectively. From 1996 to 2002, he has been professor for computer science at the Martin-Luther-University in Halle/Wittenberg, Germany. He joined the
University of Bayreuth, Germany, in 2002 where he now holds the chair for parallel and distributed systems. His research interests include parallel and distributed programming, parallel and distributed algorithms, compiler optimizations and performance prediction for
parallel and distributed environments.
