Kadir Akbudak
Biography
Kadir Akbudak is a postdoctoral researcher in the Extreme Computing Research Center at KAUST. Before that, he was a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Computer Science at Bilkent University, Turkey. He received the BS degree from Hacettepe University, and the MS and PhD degrees from Bilkent University, all in computer science. He received TUBITAK scholarship during his graduate studies and awards of computing resource on European's large-scale Tier-0 parallel systems. Dr. Akbudak's research interests include combinatorial scientific computing, locality-aware partitioning and scheduling methods for scaling irregular applications, locality exploiting methods for scientific computational kernels. Dr. Akbudak has authored high quality research papers in prestigious journals such as SIAM, IEEE TPDS, and served as a reviewer for top conferences (Supercomputing, IPDPS, EuroPar) and journals (JPDC, ParCo).
