Johannes Seiferth graduated with a Masters degree in computer science from the University of Bayreuth, Germany, in 2016. Since 2017 he is a research assistant in the group "Parallel and distributed systems" at the University of Bayreuth and is currently doing his Ph.D. at the University of Bayreuth under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Thomas Rauber. His research interests include auto-tuning techniques for time-stepping methods to obtain an automatic adaptation to processor architectures, performance modelling and performance prediction of time-stepping methods and parallel and distributed computing with a focus on solution methods for ordinary differential equations.
