Dr. Steffen Poppitz was studying Mathematics at the University of Stuttgart, minoring in aero- and fluid dynamics. He was earning a diploma in 2002 and a doctor's degree in 2011. From 2005 until 2010 he was a Teaching and Research Assistant at the University of Stuttgart. Since 2011 Dr. Steffen Poppitz is working at the Robert Bosch GmbH in the 'Corporate Sector Information Systems and Services'. There he is part of the team providing an in-house HPC platform and corresponding services.
