Tom Vierjahn is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Virtual Reality and Immersive Visualization group of RWTH Aachen University in Germany. He received his Diploma in Media Technology and his M.Sc. in Virtual Reality from the University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf in 2007 and 2010, respectively. In 2015, he received his PhD in Computer Science from University of Münster, Germany.

Tom is working on in situ visualization in collaboration with computational neuroscientists. He also contributed to surface reconstruction, rendering, and performance analysis in the realm of high-performance computing.
