Biography
Philipp graduated from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (diploma in Technomathematik) in 2008. He subsequently moved to the Technical University of Munich(TUM) and obtained his Ph.D. in 2013 for research on hybrid multiscale simulation approaches for micro- and nanoflows. Besides continuing his research at TUM, Philipp was involved in the scientific program management of the DFG priority program “Software for Exascale Computing” (SPPEXA). In 2016/17, he joined DKRZ and the ESiWACE project as well as the Scientific Computing group at Universität Hamburg.
