Biography
Thomas Röhl completed an apprenticeship as an IT specialist focusing on the Linux operating system and clustering at Erlangen Regional Computing Center (RRZE), which is part of the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. Afterwards he attained a Master of Science degree in computer science from RWTH Aachen University with emphasis on parallel programming and kernel development. Currently, Thomas Röhl is a researcher in the HPC Services group at RRZE. He concentrates on performance engineering and the tools that support it. His daily work involves development and improvement of the powerful performance tool suite LIKWID. He is also working on monitoring tools for HPC systems and the analysis of recorded application execution traces.
