Biography
P. (Saday) Sadayappan is Professor of Computer Science and Engineering and a University Distinguished Scholar at the Ohio State University. His research interests include optimizing compilers, domain/pattern-specific performance optimization, and data-movement complexity of computations. He collaborates closely with computational scientists and data scientists in developing domain-specific optimizing compilers/frameworks and high-performance libraries for sparse/dense matrix/tensor computations. He has published over 400 refereed papers. He is a recipient of the 2018 ACM SIGPLAN Most Influential PLDI Paper Award. Sadayappan is a Fellow of the IEEE.
