Tobias Weinzierl is Associate Professor in HPC and Scientific Computing at the Department of Computer Science at Durham University. He holds a PhD and habilitation from Technische Universitat Munchen (TUM). His work mainly focuses on the algorithm, data structure and software paradigm side in HPC with a rather strong CS theory emphasis. Tobias is particularly interested in dynamically adaptive multiscale methods based upon spacetrees that interact with multigrid solvers for partial differential equations, particle systems, or hyperbolic equation system solvers.
