Biography
Christian Bauckhage is a professor of computer science (pattern recognition) at the University of Bonn and lead scientists for machine learning at Fraunhofer IAIS in St. Augustin. In his research he focuses on efficient algorithms for large scale data analysis as well as on informed learning techniques for explainable explainable and accountable AI. Having studied computer science and physics, he is excited about current developments in quantum computing and looks how machine learning and data mining problems can be (re)formulated in ways that allow for quantum computing solutions.
