Biography
Estela Suarez is senior scientist at the Juelich Supercomputing Centre (JSC) in Germany. Her research interests are in high performance computing, with focus on heterogeneous architectures. Estela is the coordinator of the DEEP series of Exascale projects (“DEEP”, “DEEP-ER” and “DEEP-EST”) funded by the European’s Commission. She is also member of the ExaCluster Laboratory, a long-term collaboration between JSC, Intel and ParTec, which explores hardware and software technologies for future generation cluster computers. Her background is in Astrophysics. She received his PhD in Physics from the University of Geneva (Switzerland).
