Yasumitsu Maejima is a researcher at the RIKEN Center for Computational Science, Kobe, Japan since 2014. He graduated Ph. D course in science from the University of Tokyo. He is a member of the Meteorological Society of Japan and the Japan Geoscience Union. His research interests include data assimilation, mesoscale meteorology, local heavy rainfall prediction and theoretical aspects of geophysical fluid dynamics.
