Piyawut is a senior researcher at National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC) THAILAND. Despite his background training in solid state physics, he has served in broad spectrum roles of management in many fields such as, HPC, Computing Research, rehabilitation engineering and assistive technology, technology program management, and organisation management. His current involvement in HPC are setting up NSTDA Supercomputer Center (ThaiSC), Co-chair of ASEAN HPC Taskforce, and Thailand's focal point for EU-ASEAN Cooperation on Science and Technology under E-READI towards the development of a joint EU-ASEAN initiative on HPC.
