Philip Murphy manages the High Performance Fabric Division core architecture team within the Intel DCG Connectivity Group. Phil focuses on Intel® Omni-Path Architecture, a next generation fabric technology, and is responsible for platform architecture and planning. Phil came to Intel as a result of the company’s transaction with QLogic Corporation where he held the positions of vice president of HPC technology and vice president of engineering, and was responsible for the design and development of all high-performance computing products and storage area network switching products. Before joining QLogic, Phil founded SilverStorm Technologies, a pioneer in applying InfiniBand technology to HPC environments. Phil holds an MS degree in Computer and Information Science from the University of Pennsylvania.
