Biography
Eric Stahlberg is director of Biomedical Informatics and Data Science directorate at Frederick
National Laboratory for Cancer Research. Most recently, working closely with the National Cancer Institute (NCI) Center for Biomedical Informatics and Information Technology (CBIIT), Dr. Stahlberg
spearheads collaborative efforts between the National Cancer Institute and the US
Department of Energy in the Joint Design for Advanced Computing Solutions for
Cancer (JDACS4C), the CANcer Distributed Learning Environment (CANDLE), and
Accelerating Therapeutics for Opportunities in Medicine (ATOM) while identifying new
opportunities to accelerate cancer research employing computational approaches.
Prior to joining Frederick National Laboratory, he has worked in industry
advancing applications of HPC technologies, in academia advancing accelerated
computing, applications in bioinformatics, developing future workforce in health
information, and directing computational science educational programs.
