Steffen is a PostDoc at the Interdisciplinary Center for Scientific Computing at Heidelberg University in the group of Peter Bastian, where he works on efficient solvers for current HPC architectures. A lot of this work targets the open-source software framework DUNE, an international collaboration between several universities that provides a modular set of C++ building blocks for creating high-performance Finite Element simulations.
