Biography
Dr. Osamu Abe is the professor and chairperson of the Department of Radiology, Graduate School of Medicine, the University of Tokyo. He graduated School of Medicine in 1990, and Graduate School of Medicine, the University of Tokyo and obtained his doctorate in 1998. He became an associate professor in Department of Radiology, the University of Tokyo in 2007, and moved to Nihon University as the professor and chairperson in 2010 and came back to the University of Tokyo in 2016. His main field of clinical practice is diagnostic radiology, especially neuroradiology, and that of research is structural and functional neuroimaging using voxel- or surface-based morphometry, diffusion, functional imaging and connectomes. He is a representative of Japan Radiological Society, Japanese Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, The Japanese Society of Neuroradiology, and Japan Society for CNS Computed Imaging, etc. Until 2019, he has published 228 original articles and 6 reviews in English.
