Roland Fehrenbacher
Biography
Roland is the founder and CEO of Q-Leap Networks. He created the
Qlustar Cluster OS in 2012 and designs/implements HPC clusters for Q-Leap
customers. He started up the HPC branch of transtec in 2001
at the beginning of Q-Leap's seven year long exclusive cooperation with the company.
Before his switch to the IT world, he received his Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from ETH Zürich and
had Postdoc positions at Argonne National Lab and at the Max-Planck
Institute Stuttgart. During this time he published a number of
research papers on the theory of High-Temperature superconductivity.
Some of his spare time, Roland spends on
contributions to the Debian HPC and DebianMed projects in his role as an active Debian developer.
