Ali Mohammed
Biography
Ali Mohammed joined the High-Performance Computing (HPC) Group at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Basel, Switzerland as a Ph.D. student since February 2016. He is also a member of the computational toolbox Ph.D. program offered by Competence Center of Computational Sciences (CCCS) in University of Basel. He is conducting his doctoral studies in the field of robust scheduling on high-performance computers.
His interests include enhancing the performance of computationally-intensive scientific applications on HPC systems with various dynamic loop scheduling techniques in the presence of perturbations and failures. Also, he is interested in methods of simulating the execution of scientific applications and experimentally verifying the accuracy of the simulative of scientific applications performance versus real (native) performance on real (native) HPC systems.
