Lucas Wilson

Biography
Lucas is an AI researcher in Dell EMC’s HPC & AI Engineering group, which focuses on developing best practices and techniques for training neural network models at scale and on novel architectures. Prior to Dell EMC, Lucas was Director of Training and Professional Development as well as a member of HPC research staff at the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC), where he worked on several of the most powerful supercomputers for open research in the world. His research focuses on nature-inspired and self-organizing distributed algorithms for extreme scale. Lucas received his PhD in Computer Science from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 2015. The focus of his dissertation was self-organizing execution models for fault-tolerant exascale parallel applications.
