Biography
Weronika Filinger is an HPC Application Developer and has been working at the Edinburgh Parallel Computing Centre (EPCC) since 2013. She has been deeply involved in the design, development and delivery of the first Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Supercomputing aimed at general public, and she facilitated all three runs of the course. Her broad interest in training and education has led her to be a part of the EPCC outreach team, taking HPC related activities to public events. She also provides technical support for the HPC-Europa3 visitors making use of EPCC’s computational resources. More recently, Weronika has become a co-chair of the Outreach Committee of the ACM SIGHPC Education Chapter and become involved in running the IHPCSS. She has also worked on a number of collaborative projects such as CRESTA, ADEPT, APES and SARGASSO and provided a consultancy for the Software Sustainability Institute.
