Before that, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Forschungszentrum Jülich. There, she worked in the Human Brain project, evaluating methods for using dense storage technologies in HPC workloads. Before that, she worked Argonne National Laboratory in the USA. She was part of the Programming Models and Runtime systems group, working on programming Models for heterogeneous memory architectures and the MPI distribution MPICH She received her PhD in Computer Science from the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg. In her thesis, she worked on communication and data transfer methods for distributed GPUs. During her PhD, she worked at the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Mathematics. She is (Co-)author of several papers, which where published on International Conferences (SC, IEEECluster) or Journals in the area of High-Performance and Distributed Computing. Lena Oden has reviewed several Papers for HPC journals like JPDC,and PARCO.
