Biography
Ignacio Laguna is a Computer Scientist at the Center for Applied Scientific Computing at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. He earned the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Engineering from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, in 2008 and 2012, respectively. His research work focuses on HPC programming systems, in particular on the development of techniques to improve the reliability of HPC applications and systems, including debugging and correctness tools, and fault-tolerance and resilience techniques. Ignacio was the recipient of the ACM/IEEE-CS George Michael Memorial Fellowship in 2011, a 2017 R&D 100 Award Finalists, and is an IEEE Senior Member.
