Biography
Anastasiia Novikova graduated from the Donetsk Technical National University in 2015 with a master’s degree in computer engineering, with an emphasis on system programming. She completed her master’s thesis “Parallel MIMD Simulator for Network Object with Distributed Parameters” during an internship at the High-Performance Computing Center of the University of Stuttgart.
She worked as a student assistant in the Process Synthesis and Process Dynamics group at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems in Magdeburg.
She was a research assistant at the University of Hamburg on the “Advanced Computation and I/O Methods for Earth-System Simulations” (AIMES) project. She also began her PhD at the University of Hamburg with a research topic called “Domain-Specific Compression Methods for Icosahedral Data”.
Now she works as a research assistant in the “Maritime Graphics” Competence Center of the Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics Research in Rostock.
