Stephen Fischer received the PhD degree in electrical engineering from Curtin University in 1995. He is currently a Principal Engineer in the Memory Platform Laboratory at Samsung Semiconductor in San Jose, California, where he is performing R&D work related to flash memory and storage technologies including Samsung’s new SmartSSD product for computational storage. He is a member of the IEEE.
