Frank P. E. Baetke
Biography
Frank Baetke is the president of the European Open File System Society (EOFS) and a member of the EOFS Administrative Council.
He is a Fellow and Advisory Board member of the International Supercomputing Conference (ISC).
Until January 31st, 2018, Frank Baetke lead HPE’s (Hewlett Packard Enterprise) worldwide business development activities for the academic and scientific research segment with a focus on high performance and scale-out systems as part of HPE’s HPC group in Houston, Tx.
Before its acquisition by Hewlett-Packard he held several management positions with Convex Computer Corp. in Richardson, TX. Frank Baetke started his career as a researcher and academic counselor at the Technical University of Munich. He joined Convex Computer Corp. in 1986.
He holds a master degree in engineering (Dipl.-Ing.) and a Ph.D. (Dr.-Ing.) in Fluid Dynamics/Applied Physics from the Technical University of Munich.
