After 5 years of experience in commercial building energy engineering work, in 2000 Mr. Bourassa joined the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab Commercial Building Systems Group working on building commissioning, performance monitoring and energy simulation research. In 2005, he moved to the California Energy Commission, Public Interest Energy Research (PIER) Buildings End-use Energy Efficiency Program, working as a Contract Manager for 3 years as the Buildings Program Team Lead. In 2010, Mr. Bourassa returned to LBNL, joining the Home Energy Saver and Scoring Tool development team within the Residential Building System Group. Starting in 2017, he began working within the NERSC Operations team on energy efficiency projects for both the supercomputing and office areas of Shyh Wang Hall on the LBNL campus. Mr. Bourassa has degrees in Architecture (University of California, Berkeley) and Electronics Engineering Technology (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, Edmonton, Alberta).
