Biography
Dr. Robert Hoekstra received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana, Urbana, IL, in 1998. He is an R&D manager in Center for Computing Research at Sandia National Laboratories, a Department of Energy laboratory in the USA. His department’s research is focused on the development, simulation and evaluation of next generation HPC architectures. These interests include parallel computer architectures, high performance interconnects, extreme scale computing, performance analysis and multi-fidelity simulation of novel HPC HW.
