Dr. Mallikarjun (Arjun) Shankar is the Group Leader of the Advanced Data and Workflow group in the National Center for Computational Science and the Director of the Compute and Data Environment for Science (CADES) at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. His research focuses on the interdisciplinary bridge between computer science and large-scale scientific discovery campaigns that rely on scalable computing and data science. He is a joint faculty appointee at the University of Tennessee’s Bredesen Center, a member of the IEEE Computer Society, and a senior member of the ACM.
