DescriptionAfter the Graphene Flagship and the Human Brain Project, the Quantum Flagship is the third long-term and large-scale research and innovation initiative of this kind funded by the European Commission. The main goal of the Quantum Flagship is to transfer quantum physics research from the lab to the market by means of commercial applications. The Quantum Flagship has started in October 2018 with 20 projects in which researchers from academia and industry are involved. These projects cover research and technology development in the areas of quantum computing, quantum simulation, quantum communication, and quantum sensing and metrology.
