DescriptionSurgical data science is a recent new research area that aims to observe all aspects of the patient treatment process in order to provide the right assistance a the right time. This talk will give a brief overview of the current work of the department "Computer Assisted Medical Interventions" of the German Cancer Research Center, how deep learning based methods could be applied to solve surgical data science challenges such as the visualization of hidden structures with insufficient or even no real training data.
